ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT FOR EYE DISEASES
The acupuncture treatment performed is not a cure but can help the eyes heal from damage caused by the eye disease. The procedure done for retinal and optic nerve diseases is a treatment that allows the body to heal from the damage the degeneration of the tissue has caused.
ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC AND ACUTE CONDITIONS, AND FOR BALANCE AND WELL BEING
A system of complementary medicine that involves pricking the skin or tissues with needles, used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Originating in ancient China, acupuncture is now widely practiced in the West.
GUA SHA
Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. Practitioners believe gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing. Gua sha involves repeated pressured strokes over lubricated skin with a smooth edged instrument. Skin is typically lubricated with massage oil and commonly a ceramic Chinese soup spoon was used, water buffalo horn, or jade. Although a mark may appear, it does not feel like a bruise.
CUPPING
According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) cupping is a method of creating a vacuum on the patient’s skin to dispel stagnation— stagnant blood and lymph, thereby improving qi flow. It is used to treat respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia and bronchitis. Cupping also is used for back, neck, shoulder and other musculoskeletal conditions. Cupping is claimed to treat a broad range of medical conditions such as blood disorders (anemia, hemophilia), rheumatic diseases (arthritic joint and muscular conditions), fertility and gynecological disorders, and skin problems (eczema, acne), and is claimed by proponents to help general physical and psychological well-being.
FACIAL REJUVENATION
is a form of acupuncture that is applied in an attempt to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Acupuncture itself has been practiced for thousands of years, and although the cosmetic variety itself has been around for much of that time, new variations and techniques have evolved and become more popular in the western world.
THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OILS
Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils and other aromatic compounds have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, diffused in the air by a nebulizer, heated over a candle flame, or burned as incense.
RAINDROP TECHNIQUE FOR DETOX AND IMMUNE BUILDING
Uses a sequence of nine highly immune enhancing essential oils. They are dropped like rain from a height of about 6 inches onto the spine and then lightly massaged in using various hand to body techniques. This stimulates energy impulses and disperses the oils along the nervous system throughout the entire body.
TUNING FORKS VIBRATIONAL THERAPY
System of vibrational sound healing rooted in Oriental Medicine and philosophy that utilizes tuning forks to connect body, mind, and spirit in the journey toward optimal health. The tuning forks are placed on Acupuncture points and are very relaxing. I became interested in using them as a way to work with children, people with a history of abuse and anyone who has a fear of needles.
